Carnival of Cultures!
On four festival days, with over 5000 performers from all over the world, from Brazilian samba to Chinese lion dance,
from West African drums to Bernese carnival brass bands, there’s a bit of everything. After the four-day street festival, the parade on Sunday crowns the highlight of the carnival!
Starts on May 19 at around 2 p.m. at the corner of Gneisenaustraße and Mehringdamm and leads via Gneisenaustraße and Hasenheide to Hermannplatz.
With a total of 350 stalls selling arts and crafts, culinary delights and information, the time at the festival is guaranteed not to be boring.
Before and after the parade, many participating parade groups celebrate their own colorful and explosive parties!
Traditional, free open airs and big after parties all over the city await you!
The parade:

Afterpartys:
On the occasion of the Carnival of Cultures, many participating parade groups celebrate their own parties before and after the carnival.
Freak de l’Afrique
- When: At the Napoleon Komplex and Haubentaucher as well as a big afterparty at Huxley’s Neue Welt
- Where: May 17 from 4 p.m.
Ritter Butzke
Ritter Butzke is once again hosting its traditional, free open-air afterparty.

Yaam
Those who want to party can start at Yaam on May 18 before the KdK parade and party until May 19!

Strandbad Plötzensee
A traditional carnival opening with liquid color takes place there!
- When: May 17 from 4 p.m.
- Where: Nordufer 26, 13351 Berlin
