From our student residence in Genter Straße in the Mitte district of Wedding, you have short distances everywhere. Whether it’s to the university, to the shops or to the nearest café, the distance is never far and the transport connections are very good. Despite the central location, the area is quiet. There is a lot to discover in the surrounding streets.

Neighborhood
The area around our student residence is characterized by old buildings from the 19th century and many small and large stores for everyday needs. There are also a large number of cafés, bars and restaurants that look forward to your visit. The “BHT Berliner Hochschule für Technik” is just around the corner and many other universities are also within easy reach.

Leisure activities in the surrounding area
The “Brussels neighborhood” is a lively district in the middle of the city of Berlin. The neighborhood is characterized by beautiful old buildings, interesting pubs, a brewery with a bar and a number of cafés and restaurants. Twice a week, the Ghent weekly market offers products that are not available in supermarkets.
There are also important scientific and cultural institutions, such as the Robert Koch Institute, which houses a museum, and the Uferhallen, which are home to studios, dance and rehearsal rooms, recording studios, a concert hall and an exhibition hall, workshops and restaurants.
