He is 21 years old, originally from Italy and has been living in one of our apartments in Lichtenberg for 2 years. He is studying acting in Berlin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you choose Berlin?<\/strong> | Perch\u00e9 hai scelto Berlino?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I was doing some research, to find the perfect subject of study for me. After that, I was looking for a university, where I could study screen acting in English. Berlin turned out to be one optional choice. So, I came for a visit with my parents back in 2019 to see, how it was. I really liked it here \u2013 Berlin is very nice, welcoming and friendly and I didn`t choose it only for study reasons. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ho fatto ricerche in anticipo per trovare il soggetto giusto per me. Cercavo anche un’universit\u00e0 dove poter studiare teatro in inglese. Berlino si \u00e8 rivelata un luogo possibile. Cos\u00ec sono venuto qui con i miei genitori nel 2019 per avere una prima impressione. Mi \u00e8 piaciuta fin dall’inizio – Berlino \u00e8 bellissima e ci si sente subito accolti – non l’ho scelta solo per gli studi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you choose Home in Berlin for living?<\/strong> | Perch\u00e9 hai scelto Home in Berlin come fornitore?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It was simple to apply. It was, compared to the prices of other accommodations, very reasonable, for what I was asking for. And, as I said, I\u2019ve been staying here for 2 years,  so there is a reason why I stayed \u2026 I really like it. I met some very nice people, for example my best friend who is also living here and I will stay, until I find something else.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c8 stato facile applicarlo. Rispetto ai prezzi di altri alloggi, era molto ragionevole per quello che chiedevo. E, come ho detto, sono qui da due anni, quindi c’\u00e8 una ragione per cui sono rimasto \u2026. Mi piace molto questo posto. Ho conosciuto delle persone molto simpatiche, per esempio il mio migliore amico che vive qui, e rester\u00f2 finch\u00e9 non trover\u00f2 qualcos’altro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you like best about Berlin?<\/strong> | Cosa ti piace di pi\u00f9 di Berlino?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I think, the people. Although there are a lot of dodgy people, they are all very open and friendly in a way, what you don`t find in many capital citys of this size. Berlin is very multifaceted and international. You find so much difference and variety in each district. Forget about the fact, that not all people speak English. And I love food \u2026 there are a lot of food options. It\u2019s just so nice! I love it \u2026 and it\u2019s very easy to move around as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sono le persone. Anche se ci sono molti loschi individui, sono tutti molto aperti e cordiali, cosa che non si trova in molte capitali di queste dimensioni. Berlino \u00e8 molto varia e internazionale. In ogni distretto si trovano cos\u00ec tante differenze e diversit\u00e0. Il fatto che non tutti parlino inglese non \u00e8 una cosa negativa. E adoro il cibo \u2026 ci sono molte scelte. E’ fantastico! Inoltre, \u00e8 facile arrivare ovunque in citt\u00e0 con i mezzi pubblici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you miss in Berlin compared to your home country?<\/strong> | Cosa ti manca di Berlino rispetto al tuo paese d’origine?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I don`t miss anything from my home country. Bevor, I lived in Spain and the Netherlands. Wherever I go, I make it a home in a way \u2026 so I guess the only thing I miss is my family. I see them once or twice a year. So long, story short, I do not miss anything.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non mi manca nulla del mio paese d’origine. Ho gi\u00e0 vissuto in Spagna e nei Paesi Bassi. Ovunque vada, la faccio diventare la mia casa\u2026 l’unica cosa che mi manca \u00e8 la mia famiglia. Li vedo una o due volte all’anno. Per farla breve: Non mi manca nulla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How was your start in Berlin?<\/strong> | Com’\u00e8 stato il tuo inizio a Berlino?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rocky \u2026 very scary, because these “Get together Events” that you’re offering now didn’t exist. Nobody told me where to go, if I needed something. For the first three months, I didn’t dare use public transportation, because I didn’t know where to get tickets. So I rode my bike almost everywhere. As time goes on, you feel more comfortable, you meet more people, and you just drift. That’s what I learned from Berlin: Just take your time and things will happen … So, if I would have had these “Get together Events” when I came here two years ago, my life would have been much easier.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Difficile \u2026 anche spaventoso, perch\u00e9 questi “eventi di incontro” non esistevano all’epoca. Nessuno mi ha detto a chi rivolgermi quando avevo bisogno di qualcosa. Nei primi tre mesi non osavo usare i mezzi pubblici perch\u00e9 non sapevo dove comprare i biglietti. Cos\u00ec ho pedalato quasi ovunque. Con il tempo, ci si sente pi\u00f9 a proprio agio, si incontrano pi\u00f9 persone e ci si lascia andare alla deriva. Questo \u00e8 ci\u00f2 che ho imparato con il tempo: prenditi il tuo tempo e le cose accadranno \u2026 Se questi “eventi di incontro” fossero esistiti due anni fa, la mia vita sarebbe stata molto pi\u00f9 facile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What places and activities would you recommend to new people in Berlin?<\/strong> | Quali luoghi e attivit\u00e0 consiglieresti ai nuovi arrivati a Berlino?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you are 18+, I would recommend to experience the night life in Berlin. It\u2019s so different from any other, because there isn\u2019t a schedule. You just go and see where it leads.  If you are here with your family, you should see the typical sites: Brandenburger Tor, Alexanderplatz. Berlin is stylish, so you should go shopping as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t stick to the same locations, just go around. Google some typical German food \u2026 for example currywurst is actually very good and German food in general is very nice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A chi ha pi\u00f9 di 18 anni, consiglio la vita notturna di Berlino. \u00c8 cos\u00ec diverso dall’Italia perch\u00e9 non ci sono routine fisse. Andate e partecipate.
Se siete qui con la famiglia, dovreste visitare i luoghi pi\u00f9 famosi come la Porta di Brandeburgo o Alexanderplatz. Berlino \u00e8 anche un luogo ideale per fare shopping.
Non limitatevi sempre agli stessi luoghi, ma andate in giro. Cerca su Google alcuni piatti tipici tedeschi \u2026 Per esempio, il Currywurst \u00e8 davvero buono. Anche altri piatti tedeschi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you made friends at Home in Berlin?<\/strong> | Hai fatto amicizia a Berlino?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I did. I met my best friend at one of the \u201cGet Together Events\u201d and a few cool people from the building, not to forget my girlfriend. It took a while. But all the time of waiting was worth it, for the friends, I have met now.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00ec, l’ho fatto. Ho conosciuto il mio migliore amico a uno degli “eventi di incontro” e alcune persone interessanti a casa mia, per non parlare della mia ragazza. Ci \u00e8 voluto un po’ di tempo. Ma \u00e8 valsa la pena aspettare per gli amici che ho incontrato ora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you choose Berlin again?<\/strong> | Sceglieresti di nuovo Berlino?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I would! If I decide to stay in Germany for a long time, I think I wouldn\u2019t grow up my kinds here, but for someone in the twenties it\u00b4s perfect. I would choose Berlin again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Io lo farei! Se decidessi di rimanere in Germania per molto tempo, probabilmente non crescerei qui i miei figli, ma per chi ha vent’anni \u00e8 perfetto. Sceglierei di nuovo Berlino!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
